The Lakers set to retire both of Kobe Bryant's jerseys

On Monday, December 18th, the Lakers will be playing the Golden State Warriors at the Staples Center and plan to hold a memorable half-time ceremony where they will be retiring both #8 and #24, jersey numbers that Kobe Bryant wore throughout his career with the Lakers. As an NBA fan, how could you not appreciate this? If there was ever a player worthy of having multiple jerseys retired, Kobe would definitely be one of them. He was one of the best to ever do it. This is quite an honorable gesture by the Lakers organization and come Monday I will definitely be glued to the tube when it happens.

Even though I'm not a fan of the Lakers, I can truly appreciate the fact that Kobe NEVER LEFT. As tough as it got in L.A., he stuck to the code and stayed the course. Kobe wasn't the type to switch sides and chase rings. His competitive nature never allowed it. Because of that, I have the utmost respect for him. Thank you Kobe Bryant.
